BLIND BOYS NOMINATED FOR 'BEST AMERICAN ROOTS PERFORMANCE' GRAMMY
The Blind Boys are excited to announce that they have been nominated by the Recording Academy for 2017's 'Best American Roots Performance!' The nominated track, "Let My Mother Live," was co-written by John Leventhal, Marc Cohn, and the Blind Boys' own Jimmy Carter. BLIND BOYS & BEN HEPPNER TO COLLABORATE THIS FALL
We are excited to announce that the Blind Boys will be collaborating LIVE with award-winning Canadian vocalist Ben Heppner at Vancouver's Chan Centre for Performing Arts this fall! The Blind Boys of Alabama were thrilled to be a part of an amazing evening at the legendary Beacon Theatre for Love Rocks NYC on March 9th! We enjoyed benefiting God's Love, We Deliver by singing with our friends Jackson Browne and Michael McDonald (pictured above), as well as joining Aaron Neville to sing one of our favorite songs, People Get Ready. Its always a pleasure to be surrounded by so many talented artists, such as William Bell, Mavis Staples, Gary Clark Jr., Dr. John, Paul Schaffer, John Varvatos, and so many more. Blind Boys are nominated for two grammys!
The Blind Boys have earned two Grammy nominations for their work on God Don't Never Change: The Songs of Blind Willie Johnson! The album was nominated for Best Roots Gospel Album and the Blind Boys' song on the album ("Mother's Children Have a Hard Time") was nominated for Best American Roots Performance.

Clarence Fountain, a founding member and the long-time leader of the Blind Boys of Alabama, is going through a hard time. A few weeks ago, Clarence’s house was a victim of the historic flooding in Baton Rouge.
